After attending Cornell University and University of Pennsylvania School of Law, the author became an Assistant Attorney General of New York State and subsequently a Region Counsel for General Electric Company. Since that time, he has developed real estate projects in a number of states, and for the past thirty years his Florida firm has managed investments for clients in fourteen states. As an avid skier, he has attempted almost every slope in the U.S. and some in Europe. Currently he practices self-defense, works out, bike rides and swims. He has performed in plays both in California and Florida, including 6 Rms Riv Vu and Sound of Music. He began writing in 1992 as a hobby; which has now become a passion. Burt lives in Florida with his wife, Mary, and a terribly spoiled cat named Furgie.
